Jan 07, 2019 PCI Memory Controller under Windows 7 Under 'Device Manager' there is a device called 'PCI Memory Controller' that has a yellow sign on it. During normal investigation it says that there is no driver installed, I let windows 7 try to find a driver for me automatically and it asked me to download 'Intel Turbo Memory' from intel site. I'm sure this has already been discussed but I could not find the thread. Does anyone have any information on why I cannot find a Windows 7 64-bit compatible PCI Memory Controller Driver for my X61 7675 CTO.

The existing Intel SMBus Controller device drivers are overwritten with the Intel Chipset Device Software, which provides the operating system with information about the device/hardware. This information allows the operating system to display the correct product name for that piece of hardware in Device Manager. The Intel Chipset Device Software does not install device drivers for the Intel SMBus Controller, resulting in a loss of device functionality.
